Yati Yatanlal Samman

Yati Yatanlal Ji, who was the founder of social and cultural awakening, was born in 1894 in Bikaner to Kartik Shukla Triodashi. At the age of 6 months your parents have died. After that, Guru Parammal raised the child. At the age of two and a half, he came to Raipur with his teacher. You became proficient in math and language only in the short term. Sanskrit literature and history was your favorite subject. At the age of nineteen, he got initiation and joined politics in 1919.

Through the creative work, from the very beginning, you have been persistent efforts for public awareness, and for the purpose of raising the dalit and organizing them, go to the village village and work tirelessly to remove the inferiority complex. Every moment you were faced with opposition from the evils and evils, but kept on venturing into venture with courage and determination.

In the promotion of the Civil Disobedience Movement of 1930, you made significant contributions as a convenor and city chief. In front of liquor shops, there was a great role in the conduct of picketing. You have been the organizer of the Jungle Satyagraha and arrested in Mahasamund Tehsil.

In 1933, you became active in the promotion of Harijan Lalar movement. As per the instructions of Mahatma Gandhi, you carried out many important works in the direction of village industry, scheduled caste uplift and Hindu-Muslim unity in 1935. You played an important role in the freedom movement and went to jail many times. You have always been committed to the upliftment of the rural people and remain engaged in promoting the importance of village industries.

You died on August 4, 1976. You were a great speaker, writer, social reformer. Keeping in view the unforgettable contribution of non-violence in Chhattisgarh, the Chhattisgarh government has established Yatan Lal's respect for non-violence and cow-protection in his memory.
