The Model Code of Conduct has become effective with the announcement of the Lok Sabha General Election on March 10, 2019. No cultural program will be organised by the Department of Culture and Archeology until the Model Code of Conduct is effective. During the said period, all acceptance orders issued for any program / event etc. in this regard will be automatically canceled. This is for information of all concerned.
The Chhattisgarh region, situated in the middle of India, is a special prosperous region in terms of archeology and culture. Prior to the formation of the new state, it was part of Madhya Pradesh. This includes Raipur, Bilaspur and Bastar division. Chhattisgarh State is important from religious, cultural and historical and archaeological point of view. The hallmark of ancient cultural heritage is the help gained from observing safe antiquities and art materials in the Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum and other museums. To keep our future generations aware of their glorious heritage, in order to keep them safe for the future, the state government has declared an important 58 monument State-protected monuments by archaeological point of view. These memorials are evidence of our glorious past.
